Team Fixtures
Fixtures are arranged with other County Golf Captains, and the Dorset Ex Lady Captains. At the beginning of each year, members are circulated a Fixture List and Match Request Form to nominate which fixtures they wish to play, indicating priority of their choices. A process is then used to allocate matches against other counties. Some inter-county competition teams are chosen by the Captain.
Annual Events
In addition to team fixtures, events include the Spring Meeting and President's Day, the Colin Chataway Trophy for Juniors, the Dorset Ex Lady Captains Mixed Greensomes, the Autumn Meeting and Captain's Day, the Founders Team Event and the 9-Hole Challenge. All members are invited though numbers are sometimes limited — early applicants are given priority.
Clothing
Wearing of Dorset Captains clothing is mandatory for team fixtures and strongly encouraged at all events. Items are available in the agreed colours — red shirts and green v-neck sweaters and slipovers. Blazer Badges are also available.
